Our story began as a lifelong passion, a passion to provide a fine dining experience to our wonderful patrons. Taro was founded by a family of culinary graduates trained under renowned Japanese chef Takeshi Kaneko. Mr. Kaneko is an award winning chef and has guided us on how to turn the gifts from the sea into immaculate sushi delicacies.
In addition to our sushi, Taro restaurant encompasses Japanese cookery ranging from our rich brothy ramen to our mouth-watering Wagyu BBQ all under one roof. Under Mr. Kaneko’s guiding principles, we aim to provide the best gourmet dining experience from the Japanese archipelago. We opened Taro restaurant under the simple goal of continuing our family culinary tradition to the fine people of Houston.
